Well, it's a smaller version of a possible movie poster. It`s not really a dvd cover. I wish this movie will be done, anytime in the future :)

Everything that`s written on the poster is just fictional.

The Background Picture is a cutting from Brenton Cottmans dracula picture.


Ich liebe Filme. Wenn sie gut gemacht sind vermögen sie es spielend den Zuschauer für knapp zwei Stunden aus dem Alltag in eine "Märchenwelt" zu entführen. Sie sind dabei zwar meist nicht so ausführlich wie ein Buch, benötigen aber dafür auch weniger Zeit um eine Geschichte zu erzählen. Und trotzdem können sie eine ähnliche Tiefe erlangen wie etwas geschriebenes - können dank multibler Sinnesreitzung auch genauso mitreissend sein.

Da ich mir schon einige Male überlegt habe, was für Filme ich den gerne drehen würde wenn ich die Möglichkeit dazu hätte, habe ich angefangen diese Ideen in eigene Filmposter umzuwandeln. Und das erste und zugleich mein am Meisten angesehenes hier auf DeviantArt war "Castlevania the Movie".
Da ich eine Schwäche für Vampire, gothische Welten, Romantik und Fantasie habe, war es wohl nur logisch das es dieses Thema als erstes treffen würde. Und so wurde dieses Poster fertig gestellt, bevor Hollywood offiziell daran gedacht hat diesen Film auch tatsächlich zu realisieren! Und doch warten wir Fans nach wie vor darauf :)

Für das grossartige Hintergrundbild habe ich mich bei Brenton Cottmans Dracula Werk bedient. Er hat sich vom "Bram Stoker's Dracula"-Film inspirieren lassen und das im Film vorkommende Schloss in einem atmosphärischen Bild verewigt.
Der Dank für den tollen Look des Posters gebührt demnach zu 80% ihm :D

Alex Proyas is a great choice. If there were other directors if Jimmy Wan (Saw) didn't get it. my choices would have been, Proyas, Guillermo Del Toro, Peter Jackson, Neil Blomkamp or Christophe Gans (Silent Hill)

Well, after those years i would say that Del Toro would be the best choice for the job. His visions are just fantastic! He's born to do fantasyfilms.

I love your poster. I'm a huge fan of Castlevania. In fact I came up with a short list cast for my own movie. Maybe I'll post here someday.
